Privacy

The short version: this site does not track you, sets no cookies, and loads nothing from third parties. The only exception is the comments section, and only after you press “Load comments”.

Hosting

Pages are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect the site against abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. I do not run analytics, and I do not add tracking or advertising scripts.

Fonts and assets

Fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from this domain. No CDN, font service or embed is contacted.

Search uses Pagefind. The index is a set of static files downloaded from this site when you open search; your query is matched in your browser and is never sent anywhere.

Theme preference

If you use the theme switch, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your device.

Comments

Comments run on Remark42, self-hosted at comments.vciso.ch. Until you press “Load comments”, your browser makes no request to that server. Once you do, it loads the comments widget from there, which can see your IP address and browser details like any web server.

To post, you sign in with GitHub. GitHub then shares your public profile name and avatar with the comments server, which sets a cookie on comments.vciso.ch to keep you signed in. Anonymous comments are disabled. What you post is public. You can ask for your comments to be deleted at any time.
